This is what growing your own food looks like

This food was planted in October. The biggest problems I have had have been gophers . They took my best spinach plant (lol). It was a surreal moment for me and my son. There was no hole, no foot prints, no tracks, and no left over spinach or roots!!!

Everyone can grow their own food. At least some of the food needed to stay healthy. My passion is for everyone to understand how important it is to eat whole , natural food. Not pre-packaged, processed, GMO, fake food.

The glory for my garden goes to God for sure....for in Him all things are possible.

Time to Plant

Hello. Hopefully everyone is feeling healthy and hopeful.
Its a tough time of year for many people... the short days, post holiday blues, cold, gray days. I say, make the best of it.
Go and plant some food!!! It is so life affirming to dig in the dirt , turn the dirt , make rows of dirt to put seed in. All the while wondering how is a plant going to come from this tiny seed? Not to mention is it really going to feed me and my family?(Yes it is) Before you know it you have been so focused on planting your own food , thinking about the food to come, how amazing the process is , that you realise how relaxed you have become. Winter doesn't seem so bad after all.
I planted peas and lettuce this week. Pictures to come soon.
Do not be discouraged if you do not have a yard for your garden. A pot will do just fine for most any vegetable.
Remember, growing your own food is the best way to stay healthy in your body and spirit.

Peace and Love
